The History and Chronology
of Picture Collection "Art Nouveau Lettonie"
The development of collection
started in 1989. In co-operation with photographer-
architect Andris Rîbens black-and-white pictures were
created for exhibition “Rîga. Metropolis of Art Nouveau”.
The author of the exhibition’s concept: architect
Janis Krastins.
The exhibition has been displayed in many European
countries.
In 1992, the development of collection was started
at the initiative of the UNESCO’s National Commission
as a project of visual information. It is realised
as a collection of colour pictures by single author.
Designer of exhibitions: author - Vilnis Auziòð.
